GEORGE AND ADELAIDE 'S PERSONAL MESSAGE
You are invited to join Yvonne for an exclusive Recital this Christmas 2018, with all proceeds going towards raising necessary funds for the underprivileged children of Kolkata, India.
VITAL for Children has a mission to eradicate the injustice of child poverty in Kolkata through education, healthcare and child protective services ( http://www.vitalforchildren.org). Many of VITAL’s beneficiaries are victims of human trafficking and abuse, railway children, street/slum children, and/or children living in Kolkata’s red light district areas.
VITAL guarantees that 100% of all donations received go directly to our projects and beneficiaries.
Our talented artists for the evening will be the pianist and VITAL Ambassador George Harliono, and the singer, dancer, pianist and cellist Adelaide Harliono-Evans.
George was invited to make his first one hour long, solo recital at the age of nine and since then has performed in numerous locations in the UK, USA, Europe and Asia, appearing at venues such as Wigmore Hall, The Royal Albert Hall and Chicago Symphony Centre. George also began studying at The Royal College of Music for a BMUS Degree on a full four year scholarship in September 2017. He is one of the youngest students ever to be accepted onto this course.
Since his concerto debut at the age of 12, he has been a regular performer with orchestras including the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, New Millennium Orchestra of Chicago and Tyumen Philharmonic Orchestra. George also regularly performs alongside eminent artists such as Lang Lang and Denis Matsuev. Most recently, he was shortlisted for an award in the ‘Sound of Classical Poll’ at the 2018 Classic BRIT Awards in London, which promotes the best emerging artists and ones-to-watch in classical music.
Adelaide first started playing the cello at the age of 5. A music scholar at the Perse Upper School in Cambridge, she has performed at numerous locations throughout the UK and enjoys shooting and cycling as well as singing.
A Leverhulme Scholar of The National Children’s Orchestra for the last 5 years, she was also principal cellist at their most recent performance at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester. Winner of many music competitions including Rickmansworth Young Musician of the Year (18 & Under) for 2016 and 2017, she was invited to travel to Argentina where she performed in the Iguazu en Concierto music festival, while her most recent performance was in Lesa, Italy where she performed for VITAL.
The venue has a capacity of 25, with minimum suggested donations of £35 per person entry fee.
